Recognition for Community Project

The Football Conference Trust has recognised the Saints Community Project for the Elderly as “The Most Innovative Community Project 2016”. The award was made at the Vanarama National Leagues League’s annual conference held at Celtic Manor, Newport. Janene Butters, Brackley Town’s Managing Director said ‘we are delighted to receive this award. I would like to congratulate project leader, Kim Grantham and her wonderful team of volunteers for all their hard work over the last season.  Without the funding from The Football Conference Trust and the support from our local elderly and disability participants, this would not be possible’. Kim Grantham thanked her team of volunteers and said the funding which came with the award would enable her to move the project forward into next season, see more here

The next big Community Project event will be a Fish and Chip lunch, complete with Punch and Judy Show. There will also be Bingo and other fun and games. Tickets only £10 each including lunch. It was rumoured that to help along the sea side theme, Janene would be appearing in her bikini and Olly in his speedo’s but this was denied by both.

Football in the Community

Football on the pitch may have ceased for the summer but Football in the Community Manager, Eddie Odhiambo, has been working very hard and is now able to offer a full program of soccer coaching sessions for the final term of School.

The Friday Football Fun session for ages 5 to 7 has already commenced and will run through to 15th July. This offers an introduction to football, with a path way to joining Brackley Town FC’s Under 7s and Under 8’s junior teams.

Girls football for players aged 9 and over started on 9th June and will run through to the 14th July . The sessions help develop football techniques, skills and game play.

Youth Activators is an evening of football, futsal, bubble footy and related activities held every first and last Friday of the month between 7-8pm during June, July and August. Youth Activators has a chill out room.

Free Function Room Hire

Soul Night

The boys are back with a Mowtown and Northern Soul Night special at the Park Suite on 10th September. Frank, Mick and Nick will be playing top sounds, all from vinyl for you to dance the night away. Doors open at 8.00pm, late bar, entrance £5 per person payable at the door.

Happy Christmas!

Christmas wishes may be a little premature, but the Park Suite is already taking bookings for this year’s Christmas parties. The venue is ideal for groups of friends sharing a table or local office and shop staff wanting something more than just a Christmas meal. Last years events were so successful that this year, party goers have two dates to choose from. Firstly, Friday 9th December and the second, a week later on 16th December. Both events will include a three course dinner, mulled wine, disco and bar. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £25 per head available in person from the Park Suite here, or by calling 01280 704077, If booked by end of September 2016 and a deposit of £5.00 received tickets £20.00

First Team Update

Pre-Season Friendlies

If you are looking forward to the new season, why not come and support BTFC in three mouth-watering home friendlies? Brackley take on two sides from Football League Division One, firstly recently promoted Northampton Town FC on Saturday 16th July (3.00pm) and MK Dons on Thursday 28th July (7.45pm). On Saturday 30th July Brackley Town entertain National League South side Oxford City (KO 3.00pm).

They think it’s all over….

…well it’s not! Despite 50 years passing since England last won the World Cup in 1966, the Park Suite are offering something different. On Saturday 30th July we will be showing the world cup game on the big screen in the clubhouse. Come along and stay for the Oxford game at 3pm. More details to follow.

Fundraising Initiative

Why not join the Brackley Town FC Fund Raising Initiative and join the 200 club? Money raised will go towards improvements to the club. It will only cost £5 per number, per month, with the winner drawn at the first home game each month. The prize money will always be 50% of the money collected, with a winner, second and third place prize. Payment will preferably be by standing order although cash in advance will be accepted, see more here or contact [email protected]. Full terms and conditions available on request.

Home League games this coming season are available to sponser. As soon as the League fixtures are out , please have a look and see if one takes a fancy to be the match day sponsors. There are various packages from £120 plus VAT for match ball sponsorship and from £200 plus VAT for 4 people being the match day sponsors. A great day out is guaranteed irrespective of the result!
