Wednesday has become 'Community Project Day' and in a very short time has got off the ground thanks to a huge effort from Kim Grantham, Tasty Thymes, offering coffee and a natter in the morning from 10.ooam until noon (free coffee and biscuits) and lunch is then available at 12.30 ( £3 per head). The group is growing in number every week and new activities are being added all the time, so check the website for the latest activities.

With Royal Ascot less than a week away we decided to celebrate the occasion. As the sun rose a visit to the newsagents was a necessity for the latest copy of the racing post for the latest insider tips !
Over 50 people attended most dressed in fine fashion for a day of racing fun at the football club with morning coffee and cakes.
The fun and games were prompt with a selection of quizzes and competitions to get our minds alert. Brackley Town Mayor Cllr Fiona Baker arrived to cut the ribbon to start the races to which we all toasted her with a glass of fizzy fruit punch.
Over the next three hours with a two course luncheon in between we held 10 races. The tote office did a roaring trade with stakes provided by the club and with lots of cheering, laughter and tongue in cheek comments about the horses a really fun afternoon was had by all. Luckily not much disappointment, but then it was someone else's pennies !
